The book is aimed at road transport via ADR and sea transport using the IMDG Code, as a handbook to the regulations.

It breaks down the main shipping provisions, allowing you to choose the correct packing method based on the type of lithium batteries, via our flow-chart, whether they are:

• waste,
• damaged/defective,
• packed with equipment or by themselves, or,
• exempt

We then summarise each option; the marks and labels that may be required, whether paperwork is required, whether approved packaging is required or not and the packing method.

Following these summary tables we have detailed packing examples, shot in our own studio using the types of packaging materials that are commonly available, to show in detail how the provisions work.
