POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants) in Waste Awareness E-Learning
This short course (approx. 1 hour) introduces the student to POPs and covers the following topics;
- what POPs are, their restrictions and trigger thresholds for waste management;
- how POPs are classified, including analysis for them and how/when they determine waste designation;
- documenting POPs on waste paperwork;
- storage and segregation;
- disposal - methods required and restrictions;
- plus when POPs are dangerous goods and potential classifications.
The course is video-based and delivered completely online as E-learning. It is aimed at people involved or working in the waste management industry and is presented on a level that assumes they already have some knowledge of waste management rules and legislation, although full links to all topics with explanations are provided.
Please note that unlike many of our other courses, we've developed this course on a different server to our normal courses and we will send an access code upon completion of purchase during office hours (rather than through our normal automated system). If you purchase the course outside of office hours, then we'll send the access code the next working day (our office hours are 9-5, Monday to Friday, London UK time).
Upon successful completion of the course a certificate is emailed to the student automatically.
